Iranian president Mahmood Ahmadinejad after inauguration of the second gas transmission pipeline of Turkmenistan said that opening of a new pipeline will ensure a sharp increase in natural gas deliveries from the central Asian Nation . Ahmadinejad said that the implementation of this project is a huge task that performed by technical cooperation of Iran and Turkmenistan it is noticeable that by construction of this pipeline with the length of 150 Kilometer in Iran , the volume of gas which is imported from Turkmenistan increases to 14 billion cubic Meters. The length of Dovlatabad – Sarakhs – Khangiran gas pipeline is more than 30 Kilometers and the transmission potential is around 12 billion cubic Meters annually. By completing this new pipeline in the first stage , gas transmission from Turkmenistan to Iran reaches to 33 million cubic Meters in the following stages. The pipeline is constructed with potentials of 45 million cubic Meters of gas perches in two that the construction of first phase with the length of 35 kilometer from Dovlatabad gas field to Hasheminejad gas Refinery has been completed" Managing Director of Iranian gas Engineering and Development co said " He also added that the project took 100 days to implement and the construction 120 Kilometer the pipeline will be constructed during next year and by operation of the second phase of the project , 33 million cubic Meters of gas will be import from Turkmenistan to Iran and it could be increased to 50 million cubic Meters per day .
